MCCC Wins Region 19 DII Softball Championship

West Windsor, NJ - Mercer softball won their second consecutive Region 19 Championship on May 2nd to advance to the Atlantic B District Championship.

Mercer did not lose a game in the double elimination tournament.  The Mustangs won their opening game vs Salem 8-3 after trailing early 3-0.  MCCC followed up this win with a 4-2 win over Del Tech on Friday.  Mercer dominated the Championship Game vs Del Tech Saturday winning 15-5.

Stella Logan was named the Region 19 Tournament MVP. Logan went 5 for 9 in Mercer's three tournament wins with two doubles and a triple.  Head Coach Ryan Zegarski was named the Region 19 Coach of the Year.
