RCSJ‑Gloucester Claims Region XIX Division III Softball Championship

EDISON, N.J. – RCSJ‑Gloucester captured the Region XIX Division III Softball Championship following an impressive postseason run on May 10–11 in Edison, New Jersey, highlighted by a convincing shutout victory in the championship game. 

Gloucester opened tournament play with an emphatic 11–2 win over Camden County, while Brookdale advanced on the opposite side of the bracket with a 10–2 victory against Northampton. In the winners' bracket final, Brookdale handed RCSJ‑Gloucester a narrow 7–5 loss, sending Gloucester into the elimination bracket.

Facing a must‑win scenario, RCSJ‑Gloucester responded with authority, shutting out Northampton 10–0 to earn a return trip to the championship round. Gloucester continued its postseason momentum by defeating Brookdale 7–5 to force a decisive seventh game.  In the championship finale, RCSJ‑Gloucester delivered a dominant performance, shutting out Brookdale 6–1 to secure the Region XIX title and rebound from its lone loss of the tournament.
