Mercer County Claims Region XIX Division II Softball Championship

Scranton, PA - Mercer County Community College captured the 2026 NJCAA Region XIX Division II Softball Championship with an undefeated run through the two‑day tournament, held May 1–2 at West Windsor Township, New Jersey.  Mercer County opened tournament play with an 8–3 victory over Salem Community College in Game 1, followed by a 4–2 win over Delaware Tech in Game 4 to advance to the championship round. On the opposite side of the bracket, Delaware Tech rebounded through the elimination bracket, defeating Lackawanna College 3–2 with a walk-off victory in Game 5 to earn a rematch with Mercer County.

The championship game proved decisive, as Mercer County's offense erupted in a 15–5 victory over Delaware Tech in Game 6, sealing the Region XIX Division II title. 

With the championship, Mercer County Community College earns the Region XIX Division II title and advances to Atlantic A & B District Championship hosted by Region 10 and held May 8-9.  Delaware Tech CC, as the Region 19 runner-up, also advances to next weekend's Atlantic A & B District Championship.
