Region XIX Division II Softball Tournament Recap
West Windsor Twp., NJ - The 2026 NJCAA Region XIX Division II Softball Tournament got underway today at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor Township, New Jersey, featuring Mercer County Community College, Salem Community College, Delaware Tech, and Lackawanna College.
Mercer County CC opened tournament play with an 8–3 win over Salem CC, while Delaware Tech defeated Lackawanna College, 5–0, in the opening round. In the game 3 elimination game, Lackawanna stayed alive with a 6–5 walk-off, bottom of the 7th inning, victory over Salem CC. Mercer County CC then advanced to the championship round after earning a 4–2 win over Delaware Tech.
Tomorrow, May 2, Lackawanna and Delaware Tech will meet in the elimination Game 5, with the winner advancing to face Mercer County CC for the Region XIX Division II Championship. An "if necessary" game is also scheduled on May 2 to determine the Region 19 champion. Both the Region 19 Champion and Runner-up will advance to face the champion and runner-up from Region 10.
